Donna's dolls are a unique combination of pattern drafting, sewing skills, embellishment and oil portraiture. She began her career as a fashion designer but eventually added dollmaking to her creative endeavors. Her dolls range from expressive toddlers to colorful clowns and wild fantasy creatures. She became a member of the prestigious National Institute of American Doll Artists in 1999 and president in 2009. Her work has been in galleries across the country as well as in Europe and Russia, and her dolls have been featured in numerous publications, including Dolls Magazine, Doll Reader, Art Dolls Quarterly, 500 Art Dolls, and A for Artistic.
